   Chatting recently with Tim and Yannis from Waymap. They noted that in subsequent trials of Waymap had been done without BLE beacon deployments with no negative impact on the accuracy or consistency of information from the app. Not requiring BLE beacon deployment reduces both initial cost of installing the hardware and ongoing maintenance to replace batteries or liberated (stolen) beacons. Good news for venues and affordability. The Waymap app is slated to be made available to users for minimal cost.
