Access Barriers to Digital Information

🌟 Creating Accessible Experiences for People with Vision Loss 🌟

At Gateway Navigation, we believe in the power of collaboration and partnerships to drive change. We're excited to be developing tools that allow people with vision loss to hear and touch graphic images on websites.

Moving forward, we’re planning IMAGE OS—a tool that empowers open-source developers to make website maps, graphs, and pictures more accessible. Our goal is to enhance accessibility and inclusion for people who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision.

As a grassroots organization, we value your questions, feedback, and participation. Let’s make the digital and built world more inclusive together!

Access Barriers in the Built Environment

🌍 Empowering Independence Through Accessible Navigation 🌍

At Gateway Navigation, we’re dedicated to creating solutions that empower people with vision loss to confidently, safely, and easily navigate complex or unfamiliar spaces. Our mission is to make inclusive wayfinding augmented reality (AR) tools free / low-cost for users and economically sustainable for venues, ensuring that accessibility is available to everyone.

As a social impact company, we’re building strong partnerships with government stakeholders, industry leaders, and people with lived experience to develop an open standard for digital indoor mapping. This will enable developers to create powerful, inclusive tools for individuals who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision—revolutionizing how they navigate their world.

We are a grassroots organization, and we welcome your questions, feedback, and participation. Together, we can shape a more accessible future!
